DAAS LAPEL PINS are now available for purchase by members and friends of the Academy. DAAS Vice President, Gabriel Christian, describes the Pin as follows: "The DAAS pin is an exquisite piece of jewelry in solid gold and white enamel plating. The square pin does not exceed 1.5 inches across and displays the National Crest, composed of a shield being braced by two guardian Sisserou Parrots and atop which is a lion rampant. The fine laser etching on the shield reveals the quadrants in neat detail - canoe, banana tree, palm and 'crapaud' clearly visible. The motto: 'Après Bondie C'est La Ter' - (After God the Earth) - is readable. At the top and bottom in block grooved letters is noted: 'The Dominica Academy of Arts and Sciences'."

Each piece comes in a plexiglass presentation box. Definitely an appropriate item for gift giving during any season and for any occasion. It speaks to our pride as a people and our respect for education as represented by our Academy which is the first in the English speaking Caribbean to have been launched on the world wide web.
