Rebuilding Dominica ~ Hurricane Relief
Dominica was devastated by Hurricane Maria, Monday September 18, 2017. At this time the true extent of the loss in human life and material resources are not known. However most early observers of the carnage inflicted on Dominica estimate that it will cost billions to rebuild.
Dominicans have a reputation as intelligent, resourceful, and honest people. We are resilient, optimistic and self reliant. To preserve Dominica as the Nature Island of the Caribbean we are proud to call home and to encourage you to visit us soon and view the splendor we strive to preserve for all humanity, we ask that you give generously to Dominica Hurricane Relief today.

A Special Note to former DAAS Members
We would like to invite former DAAS members to restore their association with the NEW DAAS. We had a hiatus in communication and then cofounder Raglan Riviere passed away. We owe Raglan a huge debt of gratitude for his dedication to the DAAS mission. The NEW DAAS website has been upgraded by Raglan's daughter, Jacqueline Pearson, and we remain committed to our DAAS mission. The website is open to all for the exchange of ideas and as a repository of information about Dominica.
As Raglan originally envisioned, we plan to be a vehicle for informed and spirited discussion of the social and economic issues facing our island. We are particularly interested in a civil communion of on-island perceptions and Diaspora experience. We encourage you to join us in this quest. The disaster that hurricane Maria has been makes this quest, and communion of minds, particularly urgent.
