DAAS by-laws state that it will operate
The President's role is to pursue the objectives of DAAS as laid out in the by-laws and to carry out the major operational responsibilities. In addition to the Chair of the Board, and a Public Relations Officer, the President is expected to represent DAAS to the national and international community. The President gives leadership to DAAS as it executes broad policies; does long range planning; carries out the task necessary to achieving the purpose of the organization as presented by the Board of Directors.
